Il est évident qu’il est déjà trop tard
Solo Show Martin Lord

Past: January 7 → February 28, 2012

Martin Lord was born in Montréal (Québec, Canada), in 1974. He lives and works in Paris and Montréal and has contributed to a number of projects in France and Québec since 2002. In the spirit of promoting and engaging with the work of young, multicultural contemporary artists, the Vanessa Quang Gallery is pleased to invite you to the first solo exhibition of Canadian artist Martin Lord. The artist presents a large array of works illustrating his artistic approach in an atmosphere fusing incoherent events with obscure settings inspired by 1950s film noir and poster art. It’s obviously too late plunges the spectator into a complex story with many a twist and turn. Visitors are invited to play detective and unravel the cryptic enigma put forth by the artist. In drawing upon scenography resembling shoddy film montages, the artist calls attention to the relationship between image and sound in a bidimensional process.
