The fourth edition of the Awards will recognize three winners in the following categories: “First PhotoBook,” “PhotoBook of the Year,” and “Photography Catalogue of the Year.” The pre jury will make their shortlist selection of 35 titles from just over 1000 titles submitted to the fifth annual Paris Photo-Aperture Foundation Photobook Awards.
The pre jury members includes Christoph Wiesner (Artistic Director, Paris Photo), Julien Frydman (Head of Development, Luma Foundation), Leslie Martin (Creative Director of the Aperture book program and of The PhotoBook Review), Yannick Boullis (Founder, Offprint Projects), Mutsuko Ota (Editorial Director of IMA magazine).
Paris Photo will present the 35 shortlisted in the PhotoBook section. The exhibition will travel subsequently to New York and Tokyo, among other venues.
The selected work will be presented in the ninth issue of ThePhotoBook Review, a bi-annual publication created by Aperture in partnership with Paris Photo and distributed during the fair.

After the crazed excitement of the now renowned Paris Art week, Paris continues to enjoy and benefit from its artistic energy. It is the turn of photography to be given pride of place in the capital. The Paris-Photo fair headlines and takes over from FIAC under the nave of the Grand Palais, maintaining the high quality of previous years.
