TGTFP
5 aspects

Past: May 25 → June 23, 2012

5 aspects presents the work of TGTFP’s five partners, five personalities driven by the same passion for cities, for constructing the fabric of neighborhoods and for shaping public spaces — all essential factors in the durability of social ties. The five also share a rational conception of architecture in which edifices are designed to meet the needs of the greatest number. The agency’s work is the result of an intellectual reflection that draws out a place’s history and keenly observes its geography. It is the fruit of perpetual research into shapes, their subtle interactions and the interdependence of scales. It constantly focuses on the characteristics of spaces that will meet the needs of inhabitants or citizens. Unhindered by professional conformism, the agency is able to function as a true laboratory of ideas where discussion is open and skills are relatively interchangeable, and where everyone, including staff, is free to critique projects until a consensus is reached.

This exhibition should be approached as one would approach a museum of curiosities, a collection of objects inhabited by a spirit of categorization and comparativism. Through these necessarily fragmentary elements, the visitor can reconstitute the thread of the agency’s urban and architectural projects, all of which are guided by a coherent concept of the environment and deeply rooted in culture.
