Une tâche de sang noir dans la lavande

Past: June 6 → 28, 2014

As part of ARC Opus, in collaboration with the Musée d’Art Moderne de la Ville de Paris, the students at ENSAPC are presenting two exhibitions: one at the Musée d’Art Moderne de la Ville de Paris from the 6 to the 15 June and the second part at the ENSAPC gallery.

  • Opening Friday, June 6, 2014 6 PM → 9 PM
  • Performance Thursday, June 12, 2014 7 PM → 9 PM

Sam Cambio will read a passage he has written, to which artist Nathalie Leroy will spontaneously respond with a painting made on site. This action recalls the original context of their acquaintance. The artist, in realising the piece ‘Leporello, 2010’ was responding to the text ‘Biographies’ written by Sam.

  • Meeting Wednesday, June 18, 2014 5 PM → 7 PM

Sam is a “child of war” according to Jean Rouch’s expression. Following this idea, Sam is showing the film “Freud-Einstein: Why war?” by psychoanalyst and script writer Alain Didier Weill, directed by Alexandre Plank. The showing will be followed by a debate with the author and director.

  • Meeting Thursday, June 26, 2014 6 PM → 9 PM

Painter and poet Alain Blondel met Sam Cambio in the 80s. A fruitful affinity immediately developed between the two. For this event Alain Blondel will read ‘Disparités’.

  • Lecture Saturday, June 28, 2014 6 PM → 9 PM

Catherine Farhi, an expert in Arab literature and director of New Morning, has invited Sam to chronicle the concerts at the concert hall. In turn, Sam Cambio has invited Catherine Farhi to read and share an experience around Arab poetry.
