Perception Park Gallery — About — Slash Paris

Perception Park, creative studio founded in 2011 by the artist Celia Nkala, inaugurates an exhibition space dedicated to contemporary creation and to the Design object, located in the heart of the “Quartier Latin” built within the walls of an ancient bookstore.

Perception Park federates young international artists, all forms of expression are brought together, selected for their approach and for the confluence of their languages, in an attempt to define the contours of an aesthetic and a resolutely contemporary practice.

Conceived as a research and exchange platform, Perception Park has the will to favours movements of ideas, to multiply the points of view and to observe the slidings of boundaries between artistic disciplines.

Objects of Design and diverted objects, art video, installation, painting, pictorial photography and photographic drawing illustrate, amongst others, the permeability between practices.

The gallery alternates solo shows and periods of free and collective exhibitions, with the aim to accompany the singular, spontaneous and moving expression proper to the emerging creation.

In addition to this vocation of revealing, Perception Park pursues a reflection on the vanity of the object and on the useless Design, through the edition of unique pieces and limited series : mixed productions combining artistic approach, formal research and craft techniques.
