Photographer Caj Bremer is one of the biggest names in post-war Finnish photojournalism. In this exhibition, the Finnish Institute in Paris presents the works of Bremer and his storytelling role as a photographer. Bremer is able to extract the essential into a seemingly simple image often characterised by a subtle sense of humour.

Solitary in his village, Mario Giacomelli takes the path of an independant work, on the fringe of the fashions and the trends. C’est parce qu’elle est passionnée de sociologie et considère la photographie comme le moyen de révéler « l’homme à l’homme » que ses portraits font de Gisèle Freund un témoin privilégié de la vie intellectuelle de son temps.

Renato D’Agostin was born in Venice, Italy in 1983. He began his career in photography in 2001. In 2005, D’Agostin attended International Center of Photography in New York for courses in Fine Print. Soon after, he became assistant to Ralph Gibson. D’Agostin presented the exhibitions Metropolis (2007).

Californian photographer Jim Goldberg creates mural compositions mixing different formats and colour, black and white photographs. The Polaroids are the matrices, the portraits of the migrants encountered bring together the testimony of their history.
