Painter from the Orient of a thousand and one nights, Félix Ziem was a nomadic artist, indefinable and eccentric. This great traveller—a friend of the Barbizon painters—occupies an original place in the art of the 19th Century. After the successful retrospectives in Marseille, Martigues and Beaune, the Petit Palais presents around a hundred works from the Ziem donation.
