Charlotte Charbonnel
Born in 1980, Charlotte Charbonnel works on a chrysalis in perpetual development. Her studio has become a laboratory of sensations and experiences that combines nature and science. Her installations inflame the different materials she uses to their deepest entrenchments and thereby offer new modes of exploration and apprehension. The image and the material mix with the sound and the space in a dialogue inspired by scientific experiences linked notably to acoustics.
Charlotte Charbonnel graduated from the Ecole des Beaux-Arts de Tours and Ecole nationale supérieure des arts décoratifs (Paris). Her work has been recently shown at Maréchalerie in Versailles, at Verrière Hermès in Brussels, at Musée Réattu in Arles, at Gaïté Lyrique in Paris and, in March 2012, at Backslash Gallery.
