Pia Rondé and Fabien Saleil meet at the crossings of sculpture, photography and engraving, at the creation of the common landscape. Experiments with the pinhole articulate their reflections on reproduction, transfer, and chemical changes of perception through the image. In parallel to that, the artists question sculptural concepts, related both to setting objects and sculptures in space, chosen for shooting, and to the photographic space, that becomes the material, determining the volume and the real matter of construction and deconstruction. Their work comes into being through the sequences of successive creations that derive one from another through the renewed articulation between many techniques, materials and mediums. The same subject, sculptured, engraved or photographed may take different forms according to the medium with which the artists chose to filter their view. And then the filters overlap and confuse our perception of the technique to its disappearing, leaving room for sensuous density of the work.
