Exhibition
A taste of London
Focus sur le studio Nexus
Past: January 31 → July 26, 2014
This retrospective, specially organised for Le Cube, presents an overview of recent and older work created by Nexus, a London-based independent production company and animation studio that is internationally recognised for the quality of its achievements. The exhibition is based on clips, interactive artistic projects and award-winning short films, with a special focus on Nexus Studio’s creative talent.
Nexus has built a worldwide reputation thanks to the emphasis it places on the creative narration (story telling) of its adverts, films, TV visuals, clips, as well as interactive and live events (interactive and generative installations, interactive films, etc.).
Founded more than 15 years ago, Nexus has had several productions nominated at the Oscars (short film selection), the Grammy Awards, the MTV Awards and even at several festivals including Cannes and Venice. Its adverts have also been awarded numerous times, notably by the D&AD Black Pencil.
Nexus has talented artists, such as Smith and Foulkes, Jonas Odell, Johnny Kelly, Quayola (DQ), The Theory, Evan Boehm and Felix Massie, on its books. It is a genuine breeding ground for creation, which fosters the most innovative talent in terms of entertainment and branded content, without neglecting the artistic aspect that built its worldwide reputation.
