2025 Art [ ] Collector Laureate — Cornu1887
As part of Nemo — the International Biennial of Digital Arts of the Île-de-France Region.
The collaboration between the Centre and the Art [ ] Collector Prize — Cornu 1887 company — continues in 2025 with the presentation of Poems, an exhibition by Caroline Corbasson.
Through an approach that blends art and science, Caroline Corbasson probes humanity’s place in the universe through the lens of scientific and collective imaginaries associated with astrophysics and cosmology.
In a quasi-scientific, documentary-like and sensorial quest, the artist weaves multiple correspondences between the infinitely large and the infinitely small, between plant and mineral worlds.
In doing so, she draws attention to the existence of entities and phenomena whose spatial and temporal scales are so vast or so minute that they challenge our understanding.
Her artistic practice uses a variety of media, including painting, sculpture, video and even poetry, rejecting any form of compartmentalization.
