Choices Paris 2015 Pour cette seconde édition de Choices, quarante galeries s’associent pour proposer l’un des derniers temps forts de la saison artistique parisienne. Un week-end de présentation de solo shows dans toute la ville qui fait écho à la grande exposition organisée aux Beaux-Arts de Paris de ces artistes dont le commissariat est confié à Alfred Pacquement.

The writer and photographer Éric Rondepierre is a tireless, spellbound spectator of moving images. His visual work is based on the following principle: stopping the succession of movie photograms to reveal, through freeze-frame, the beauty of what eludes us — an accident in the surface of an image, a blackout between frames, a special effect in progress, etc. In La Foule, from the Suites series, the artist’s gaze stops not on one image, but between two images. The simple fact of freezing the film between two frames without retouching it produces a split image, its two parts naturally inverted in a perverse, striking effect.
