Look Both Ways
Past: March 22 → April 26, 2013
Anne Cleary and Denis Connolly both studied architecture in Dublin before moving to Paris from where they have established an international reputation for innovative multi-media installations.
Their latest work is inspired by Jacques-Henri Lartigue’s famous photograph that captures the passage of time through distortion. Working with Clarity Centre for Web Technologies, Cleary & Connolly’s ground-breaking video art installation produces the same temporal deformation as in the Lartigue photograph, but on the visitor’s image in real time.
It is exhibited with a reproduction of the original photograph, and an analysis of the anorthoscopic distortions involved.
