Francisco Mangado — Arquitecto
Exhibition
Francisco Mangado
Arquitecto
Past: January 29 → February 22, 2014
The flexibility of Mangado’s work and his ability to work with people from different areas of society, with different materials, and with history are fundamental. As he himself says:
“Time is the most important material. In architecture, the quest for beauty is an ethical dimension. Form in architecture only has meaning as a function of the content. Architecture is a discipline with a civic and social dimension.”
This exhibition presents a large selection of Francisco Mangado’s recent work, both as an architect and as a designer, through models of projects and competition entries.
In addition, a documentary film looks back at the most important buildings he has completed, with a commentary in which the architect shares some of his most relevant reflections and points of view with friends and mentors such as Rafael Moneo, Álvaro Siza, Eduardo Souto de Moura and Juan Herreros.
