Galerie Jérôme Poggi dedicate exceptionally two exhibitions to Georges Tony Stoll (born in 1955), in collaboration with 24Beaubourg, to present his most recent paintings. Entitled «The horizon is right here», the exhibition bring together around hundred paintings realized by the artist between June 2016 and August 2017. On this occasion, the gallery has published a catalogue, gathering a long essay commisioned to Eric de Chassey as well as some writings of the artists.

Georges Tony Stoll work takes as well the form of paintings, photographs, videos, collages, drawings, installations, performances to explore what he calls “the territories of abstraction.” Numerous solo shows have been dedicated to him by important institutions, such as the Granet Museum, the Rencontres d’Arles, the Villa Médicis in Rome and the Musée d’Art Moderne de la Ville de Paris. His oeuvre can be found within several important collections such as the Winterthur Fotomuseum (CH), Musée national d’art moderne — Centre Pompidou, Musée d’Art Moderne de la Ville de Paris, Maison Européenne de la Photographie, FNAC, collection Agnès b, Fondation Louis Vuitton, Fondation Cartier, etc.
