The Making of Americans
Past: Saturday, December 15, 2012 at 6 PM
The Making of Americans tells the story of several collections of European modern art put together by Americans in the first half of the 20th century, starting with the Salon of Gertrude and Leo Stein where works by Cézanne, Matisse et Picasso were exhibited together.
This collection and the ensuing ones thus laid the foundations for the collection and history of the Museum of Modern Art in New York.
