Interview — Rémy Héritier & Léa Bosshard — L’Usage du terrain D’avril à juin, le chorégraphe Rémy Héritier et la chercheuse en danse Léa Bosshard de la compagnie Gbod ! investissent l’espace du stade Sadi-Carnot à Pantin autour d’un projet de recherche : « L’usage du terrain », en partenariat avec les Laboratoires d’Aubervilliers qui exposent la documentation de son avancée jour après jour.

From April to June 2018, L’usage du terrain will develop an effective and collaborative body of research consisting as much in an « attempt to exhaust » a site in transition as in an « experiment in preventive archeology ». Five visual artists, a writer, composer and choreographers will be asked to contribute to the research based on notions of spatial composition defined by Rémy Héritier’s choreographic work : the trace, the relative space, the witness, the landmark, the threshold.

With this invitation, Marcelline Delbecq wishes to question the figure of the witness who hasn’t perhaps seen/heard/lived an event. Her use of the storyline and the voice formulates a narrative universe put into words and sounds in order to convoke a set of mental images oscillating between documentary and fiction, past and present. Present at the Sadi-Carnot Stadium from the 7th to the 25th May 2018, she will propose for the fourth publication, a public restitution on Friday 25th May 2018 at 8:30 pm.

Adrien Genoudet, writer, film director and researcher in visual history will put into perspective Marcelline Delbecq’s research on the Stadium and her account of the Sadi-Carnot Stadium where image and language wil be mixed.

In my work the witness is the incarnation, the compression of these two definitions. To these two, one must add that of the counterpoint in musical composition. The witness would thus be a minima the incarnation of the figure of the counterpoint»_.
