Lancement de la revue Contraintes #1.
Les tactiques de Chronos
Past: June 2 → 15, 2012
Launch of the first issue and exhibition tackles the time limitations that the artist, author, designer encounters in their respective professional creative process.
Contraintes is the framework of reflections open to all creative fields from: Architecture, design, film, contemporary art, multimedia and performance.
This review principally focuses on limitations in the creative domain due to obstacles that are faced during the creative process. This is a project by Clementine Berry, Fanny Le Bras and Romuald Roudier Theron. One of the primary goals of this project was to support and collaborate with different artists, theoreticians and commissioners all of whom have chosen alternative ways to express the illustrative and the commentary. All of the participants to this project come from completely different backgrounds, they include art critics, designers, university researchers and artists.
Pauses, loops, slow motion or fast forwarding are temporal experiences that help structure works of art and our perception of it. Contraintes, in this first issue, tackles the time limitations that the artist, author, designer encounters in their respective professional creative process. Through the display of theoretical and experimental styles in the review, we aim at studying how obstacles become a possible playground for creative chaos and innovation.
