The time of a silence is this parenthesis, this moment that Tania and Lazlo, freeze in time through their series Behind the Visible and Essence of Decadence. These are scenes of life, at different times, which retranscribe a more or less conscious state of mind of an entire generation. Tania and Lazlo tell us a story at several levels of reading.

This is the story of a woman in search of inspiration who feels compartmentalized in a way of life that does not necessarily belongs to her. She seeks to liberate herself through the arts and nature: music or literature. In search of her unconscious, she confronts her demons, her past, but always with a look towards the future.
This past is such a murmur that is transmitted from mother to daughter, a whisper almost inaudible, close to silence.

It is also the history of art, which is repeated. New technical means, new lines of thought indefinitely and the artist is confronted with himself, having to surpass, transcend, to get ahead of the world around him. Tania and Lazlo draw parallels between the industrial and digital revolution we are going through and express, through artistic references from more than a century ago, a common feeling of spleen.

Through a staging photography, built as a film director, Tania and Lazlo transcribe in a single picture all elapsed and predicted time through the silence mentioned for a moment.
