This was Now — Berlin — Paris Gallery Exchange
Past: July 6 → 21, 2012
In the context of the 4th Berlin-Paris gallery exchange, Emmanuel Hervé is pleased to present the exhibition This was Now by the Berlin based artist Moritz Hirsch — represented by Galerie Campagne Première, Berlin.
Moritz Hirsch works as a visual artist and photographer. He realizes site-specific installations using different content forms and mixed media. His work deals with the paradoxical nature of perception and the self-generated power that can emerge simply from the structure of medial concepts.
Moritz Hirsch (born 1978, lives and works in Berlin) studied at the University of the Arts Berlin and at Chelsea College of Art and Design London. 2007 he attained his MFA at the University of the Arts Berlin in the class of Visual Culture Studies of Katharina Sieverding. 2011 he was awarded the Funkhaus Kunstpreis Berlin for sculpture and installation art.
