Galerie Christophe Gaillard and the Nancy Brooks Brody Estate are pleased to announce Nancy Brooks Brody’s first solo exhibition with the gallery, Comme si de rien n’était / As If It Wasn’t There, opening on Saturday, May 16th.
Throughout her life Nancy Brooks Brody developed a rigorous personal practice rooted in the legacy of Minimalism. Working across painting, drawing, and sculpture, she explored perceptions of presence and absence, ephemerality and groundedness, through spatial and material interventions in relation to the human body. Her work thus enriches the gallery’s artistic program, which is attentive to questions of identity, history, and the processes of transmission.
