Lacework and embroidery are both labours which for a long time have been associated with ladies and domestic propriety. Claire Chesnier, Marie Drouet, Leyla Goormaghtigh, Marie Hazard, Emeline Piot are all virtuoso ladies in their oeuvres through which they invite others to visit little-explored visual and mental landscapes.
