As a partner of Biennale de l’Image Tangible, Maëlle Gallery is pleased to host the exhibition “Salon d’apparat” by Mehryl Levisse from November 24th until December 22nd 2018.

On this occasion Mehryl Levisse created a pattern that will cover all the walls of the exhibition space. On this pattern, he presents framed photographic recordings. A dialogue will take place between the content of the photo and the pattern creating doubt in the viewer "where does the photo begin and end? ", It can continue outside the frame via the repetition of the pattern on the pattern.

Mehryl Levisse’s artistic approach is mainly based on photographic staging. His photo captures are made from scratch in his workshop, building element after element environments designed by and for the body.
