Booklet for the exhibition “Steven Parrino. Graphic Work (1989-2004)” presented by Galerie Loevenbruck, Paris, from 18 February to 30 April 2022.

This booklet contains a new essay by Julien Fronsacq, Steven Parrino. Graphic Works (1989-2004), from Infotainment to Iconoclasm, and reproductions of seven original graphic works as well as an edition of Black Flag by gdm (2003). Steven Parrino himself appears in a still from his (undated) video Untitled — a self-portrait in colour to the sound of I’ll Be Your Mirror by the Velvet Underground — and in a photograph by Robin Weglinski (May 1982, archives of Alan Belcher), showing him alongside Peter Nagy, Joel Otterson and Alan Belcher during the renovation of Nature Morte Gallery in New York. Finally, there is a quasi-facsimile excerpt from Parrino’s The No Texts (1979-2003), an anthology of his writings edited by Lauri Bortz and Allison Tanenhaus for the Abaton Book Company (2003).
