Pierre Tal Coat (1905-1985), the son of a fisherman, was born in 1905 in the south of Finistère. He arrived in Paris in 1924, where he became friends with the painter Emile Compard and shared Jean Sautter’s studio.
For an exhibition at the Espace Culturel Départemental in Aix-en-Provence (21 bis cours Mirabeau), the Berthet-Aittouarès gallery is lending a remarkable selection of works by the artist Tal Coat.
