The Last Museum
Ends in about 1 month: May 16 → August 2, 2025

As the National Museum of Modern Art prepares to close its doors for five years, Galerie Poggi is proud to pay tribute to this landmark institution, with which it has maintained a close and longstanding connection—both geographically and intellectually.
Throughout the exhibition, a daily procession of trucks will quietly transport the museum’s artworks, removed one by one from its walls. The Last Museum aims to echo this slow and symbolic withdrawal, gradually giving way to a profound sense of emptiness. By doing so, the exhibition revisits the notion of « vide »— famously explored by Laurent Le Bon in 2009 at the Centre Pompidou through a retrospective on empty exhibitions, beginning with Yves Klein’s iconic 1958 show. Here, it is the sudden and extended absence of the museum’s collection that prompts reflection.
