Throughout history of art, the space in the picture would sometimes serve to represent urban areas; however, Thierry Costesèque manages to overturn this perception with his interventions: the city now becomes a picture of its own. This effect allows the viewer to realise the significance of his position as part and parcel of a constantly evolving collective image.
