100 galeries parisiennes vous accueillent

Past: Sunday, September 23, 2018 12 PM → 6 PM

Organized by the Comité Professionnel des Galeries d’Art (Professional Committee of Art Galleries), the 4th edition of “Un Dimanche à la Galerie” has become an unmissable event in the Parisian cultural agenda. It presents an exceptional opportunity to spend an exciting Sunday in art galleries across Paris, from Belleville to the Marais, Matignon — Haussmann, Saint-Germain-des-Prés… The public will have a chance to engage with works by more than 350 artists in over a hundred exhibitions. Highlights from "Un Dimanche à la Galerie”’s new edition include: paintings by Santiago Paoli at Galerie Jocelyn Wolff (Belleville), sculptures by Nicolas Bianco and Julia Haumont at Magda Danysz Gallery (Marais), Autoverse, an exhibition of artist Giorgio Silvestrini at the Matignon-Haussmann Galerie Eva Hober; films posters from Virginie Barré’s movies at Loevenbruck (Saint-Germain-des-Prés).

This year “Un Dimanche à la Galerie” also features a focus on the outskirts of Paris, notably with Kiki Smith and Hans Op de Beeck’s works at Galleria Continua at Le Moulin, or photographs by anonymous artists at Lumière des roses gallery, in Montreuil. In addition, 40 exceptional events will punctuate the day, including discussions with artists, live performances, book signings, guided tours or brunches.

“Un Dimanche à la Galerie” opens a moment of discovery and dialogue between artists, critics, professionals and amateurs alike. Promoting artistic creation is one of the essential missions of the Comité Professionnel des Galeries d’Art (Professional Committee of Art Galleries). This event is meant to welcome all audiences to the universe of art galleries as places to enjoy art for free year round.
