CAC Brétigny
The CAC Brétigny is a contemporary art centre that has been in existence for over fifty years. Every year, the CAC Brétigny organises exhibitions, events, publications and artist residencies. It offers guided tours, workshops and, above all, opportunities for critical and constructive discussion about art. Currently closed for renovation work, the art centre is taking its programmes beyond its walls across the entire Cœur d’Essonne Agglomération area.
As an art center dedicated to supporting, producing and promoting the work of contemporary artists, the CAC Brétigny has distinguished itself since its opening through its ability to build a network across the Île-de-France region and beyond with other art centres, to offer a demanding and experimental artistic programme, and to collaborate with the public with a view to breaking down hierarchies in artistic practices and perspectives.
