Le Carreau du Temple
With its industrial architecture from the end of the 19th century, le Carreau du Temple is a cultural and sports establishment that was renovated by Ville de Paris in 2014. Nowadays, it produces each year more than 230 artistic, cultural and sports events, through an eclectic program composed of key moments and regular events.
See a show, a concert or a movie, assist to a meeting in the auditorium
In this 250 places capacity auditorium, le Carreau du Temple offers a regular program of hundred dates: shows, concerts, meetings and movie nights.The program of performing arts is mainly dedicadedto modern dance, including creations but also reruns, because it’s important to share major under-represented shows with the audience.
Attend a big event in the Hall
Le Carreau du Temple offers throughout the year numerous major events in the Hall. There are in particular the contemporary art salons, the transdisciplinary festivals Second Square for all audiences, the culinary festival Food Temple, the Biennale PACT and in July of this year, a prefiguration to the Cultural Olympiads of Olympic Games in 2024.
Have a drink, a quick snack or read quietly at the new bar and its shared library
As a living space anchored in its neighbourhood, the bar has been redesigned to become spacious, welcoming and peaceful at the same time. It provides a mezzanine shared library and a free Wifi connection all year, under no obligation to purchase. Open from 10:00 a.m. to 9 p.m. from Monday to Saturday (and also on sunday during big events occuring in the Hall), you can buy all day long drinks, delicacies and snacks. Before and after the shows, screenings and debates, we provide you some light snacks from fresh and high quality products.
