Le Plateau — an exhibition space launched in 2002 — has become a place of reference in terms of contemporary art in France.

Its artistic agenda has a rhythm of four annual exhibitions designed either collectively or individually and displayed successively. The exhibitions allow new productions as well as the realisation of specific projects. Each year, an exhibition is held within its premices with parts of the collection, enabling the viewer to discover the last acquisitions.

Since 2009, a curator has been associated to the artistic schedule for a two years period in order to coordinate a set of exhibitions at the Plateau — twice a year — and throughout the national territory with the collection. Alternatively, a series of collaborations are being made within the Sequence programme in order to broaden to other artistic realms, particularly live performing arts.
