Xue Sun — Nouvelles Sculptures & dessins

Xue Sun has succeeded in creating new forms where poetry takes root. Each sculpture is a poem, a haiku, a verse or prose. Without doubt it’s what takes place when then spectator is faced with the artist’s works: in his turn he explores, completing or not the phrase and searching for meaning. Antoine Tarot — (Ego) Sculptures

Antoine Tarot modèle le grès, monte des formes d’un geste répétitif et bien réglé, par modules, en alvéoles ou par boudins arqués, comme un tissage obsessionnel où la matière brute serait inlassablement domptée. Il apprend aussi à maîtriser la cuisson au gaz, profite des dimensions imposantes du four pour expérimenter des échelles plus importantes.

Very often I’ve been surprised by the complexity of some operas. They require so many skills to happen on stage. Opera being such a popular entertainment probably comes from the same mythical and emotional approach dominating all great epics. The acme of an opera is emotion. Nowadays, all drama or heroism sound suspicious.
