Vallois Gallery

Founded in 1983 by Robert Vallois, Galerie Vallois Art Moderne et Contemporain is located in the heart of Saint-Germain-des-Prés, Paris, with two spaces at 35 and 41 rue de Seine. Initially dedicated to contemporary sculpture, the gallery gradually expanded its focus to include painting, drawing, photography, textile art, and ceramics.

Since 2012, the gallery has been actively promoting African contemporary artists, particularly from Benin, supporting emerging creators through a demanding and globally oriented artistic approach. This commitment led to the creation of the Centre for Contemporary Art in Abomey-Calavi, where Dominique Zinkpè serves as Honorary President, and the Musée de la Récade, dedicated to African art and Beninese cultural heritage.

Robert Vallois has also contributed to the restitution of cultural heritage objects to Benin, reinforcing his role as a committed patron of the arts on the international art scene.

Today, Galerie Vallois continues its mission of supporting emerging and established artists, embracing a wide range of artistic expressions and regions. Through its diverse and ambitious programming, the gallery builds bridges between cultures, continents, and artistic disciplines, affirming its status as a key player in the modern and contemporary art market.
