Past: December 9, 2021 → January 19, 2022

Alain Bublex — An American Landscape II (or the American musical industrial enamels)
Past: October 15 → November 26, 2021
To create An American Landscape II, Bublex digitally redrew scenes from First Blood, faithfully recreating camera movements and cuts while eliminating all human presence. In removing the actors from this quintessential action movie, Bublex lets the scenery engulf the original Panavision widescreen format and emerge as the film’s true American hero.

We Are Open ! — Exposition collective
Past: May 19 → 31, 2021

Alain Bublex — Arrière-plan
Past: October 3 → November 8, 2014
With “Arrière-plan” Alain Bublex proposes to test out the hypothesis: ’The creation of a “national” political and cultural space most often goes hand in hand with a trend towards representation of its landscapes.’ Or in other words, as soon as a people endows itself with a common future, it feels the need to portray what surrounds it and what has preceded it.

Jean-Yves Jouannais — Systema naturae
Past: October 3 → November 8, 2014
“Systema naturae is a group of documents made up of collages and texts whose ’paternity’ I attribute to my grandfather, who was born in 1913 in Saint-Angel, in the Allier département, and died in 1945. A sergeant in the army, he drowned himself during a spell as a reservist in the barracks at Montluçon”. — Jean-Yves Jouannai

S’il y a lieu je pars avec vous
Past: September 11 → October 26, 2014
Here five artists have taken to the road at the invitation of BAL in search of a story, often their own. The motorway, anonymous and yet so familiar, has become the domain for their creation, the playing field of the self. They travel in space and time, their wanderings lead them to lose themselves as well as find themselves.

Past: Tuesday, September 30, 2014 at 7 PM

Alain Bublex — Contributions
Past: October 17 → November 26, 2011
Paris has become ‘Grand Paris’, and must push its historic metro and ring road borders further out so as to unfold the length of the regional express train (RER) and tram tracks. Taking note of this new physiognomy, Alain Bublex attempts to give a face to a metropolis that is only embodied in plans and maps with coloured and abstract lines.
