Amélie Bigard
Amélie Bigard is an artist working in painting, sculpture and installation.
She mainly ponders on the social forms of suffering, collective neuroses and the resulting images. The characters she creates figure as archetypes of teenagers caught between violence and the refusal to grow up, finding solace in coming together and playing. Anti-heroes, ghosts and lost souls invent stories to combat obsessive memories and restrictive norms.
Graduates from the ‘Beaux-Arts’ in Paris-Cergy and Marseille, she also trained in Orthodox icons painting.
Amélie Bigard has exhibited into differents cities, including Paris, Milan, Nice, Lyon and London. She is currently preparing her third solo show in 2024 at PACT gallery in Paris. In 2023 she is one of the winners of the ADIAF Emergence prize and one of the 4 finalists for the « Amis du Palais de Tokyo » prize.
