Dessins contemporains surréalistes de Rotterdam
Past: February 29 → May 13, 2012
The present exhibition includes some seventy works that illustrate the recent focus of the museum on contemporary drawings, with the accent on work with a surrealistic mentality. All these drawings are rooted in some form of automatic imagination. They feature an almost outsider-like concentration, and strive to create their own world view.

Charles Avery
Past: May 27 → August 8, 2010
Charles Avery is the author of nothing less than a mythology — The Islanders — to which he has devoted himself fulltime since 2004.
By way of texts, drawings, installations and sculptures, he describes for us an island and an imaginary world governed by specific laws, which an explorer gradually reveals to us.
