Au commencement des propositions d’Eva Taulois se trouvent des textures, des couleurs, ainsi qu’une atmosphère générale. Pour l’exposition personnelle qu’elle propose au CACC, elle prolonge la sensation de l’été et déploie son geste pictural sur transats et parasols, qu’elle augmente de pièces sonores, de photographies et de sculptures.

L’exposition collective A Hard Edge With a Soft Core est en germe depuis une rencontre en résidence à la Cité Internationale des Arts entre Pierre Clément, Nicolas Momein et Samir Mougas. Son pari est de rassembler des artistes travaillant avec des matières molles en cours de solidification qui enregistrent les traces d’un geste.

The title of the exhibition results from a discussion with Dominique Blais around a project by Patrick Bernier and Olive Martin whose subject was a forest in the Southwest of France, unique by being shared with several towns.

The notion of document often examines the very ontology of artworks. From the document as source, the document as artwork and the document as link, it appears that the idea of the document doesn’t exist per se, but rather in complex and multi-relational networks with artworks, to the point that at times they intertwine.
