Natalia Villanueva Linares
A French Peruvian artist, graduated with highest Honors, unanimously voted top of the class, currently living and working in Peoria, Illinois (USA). There, she bought, with LRAE, an abandoned church in April 2011. They will transform the building into a Cultural Center, Workshop, and Artist Residency. They created an Artistic Organization that will reside in their city as an international approach to Art.
Geamoon is the word she uses for her work; a word that determines a distance; “an amalgam of the beginning and the end, a multitude of moments that are ready to be processed, which boil, longing to be transmitted.”
“I choose the unlikely, this will be our home… We will make ’menstallations’, small or giant, objects or installations, breathing effort. We will build times when art is an act of generosity. We will refine its fragility and the size of its force… Put in your pocket raindrops, the road will be long.”
