Hannah Woo
Hannah Woo is a Korean artist based in Seoul whose practice explores themes of body anxiety, betrayal, and “flesh cages” through textile installations, sculptures, and performances. Her work, both intimate and provocative, questions social norms and the pressures exerted on the body, particularly that of women.
In 2025, she presented The Great Ballroom (Frieze New York) and At the end of the world split endlessly (SeMA, Seoul). Woo has been featured by institutions such as the SeMA Seoul Museum of Art and has been cited in publications like Frieze Magazine and The Art Newspaper. Her approach, both visual and conceptual, redefines the boundaries between vulnerability and resistance.
