Martin Meyenburg creates paintings and sculptures between abstraction and still life which emerge from a common idea in order to evolve in the same aesthetic universe. It is a place that conveys a meaning of space which collides with improbable light situations as well as a closed-off viewpoint as given to the spectator. The main questions that the artist asks through these constructions relate to a situation in space; the organisation of material on the surface of the canvas on one hand and the architectonic viewpoints on the other. Mainly, Meyenburg challenges the principles of composition during his constant search for a new equilibrium.
