Sarah Le Guern, born in 1981, is a self-taught artist. This allowed her to have the necessary liberty to explore and develop a personal universe detached from technical or aesthetic referents. The power of her work lies in the total spontaneity and freedom with which Sarah invests in her work.

This clear and frank spontaneity is accompanied with rigor and an inflexible demand which nevertheless leaves room for human fragility, her fragility. Her photos no doubt serve as an outlet for her questionings, her tensions, her emotions and her demons, but they are in no way burdensome, while they are not exempt from a certain brutality and a sometimes tactile struggle. The body which is at the centre of a part of her work is equally the vehicle which puts into perspective the atmosphere, the light, colors and a form of poetry that constitues the singular universe of Sarah.
