Susumu Shingu
Susumu Shingu (1937 — ) was born in Osaka, Japan. After graduating from the Tokyo University of Arts in 1960, he studied at the Accademia di Belle Arti di Roma. His work has been exhibited in Europe, Japan and at PepsiCo in Purchase, New York, and at Harvard University. Aurora is Shingu’s only public art in Los Angeles, but he has a work at Logan Ariport in Boston, and in 1988, his Windcircus, a 10-piece installation, was temporarily located at the Federal Building in West Los Angeles.
