Catherine Ceresole loves rock. Originally from the town Rolle, she set foot in New York in 1979. Soon after, she began to photograph concerts, notably those of the emerging Sonic Youth. She offered her photos to the guitarist Thurston Moore who liked them and encouraged her to continue. For 12 years, she flitted between CBGB, the Danceteria and other rock and experimental venues.
