Give violence a chance
Stéphane Bérard
Past: March 11 → April 22, 2017
Eva Meyer’s Gallery announces the opening of “Give violence a chance” solo exhibition of Stéphane Bérard.
For its fifth presentation at the Gallery, Stéphane Bérard will propose installations, drawings, photos and a selections of his films. These will be shown every Saturday from 15:30.
Stéphane Bérard is born in 1966, he lives and works between Lille and Paris (France). As a self-taught artist, he created works based on a material simplicity, assuming the failure or the futility. Using a critical distance regarding his profession and the contemporary art world, assuming an outsider’s position, the artist like to scramble the codes until being blocked by a serie of inconsistencies and misunderstandings. At the same time as the exhibition, works of Stéphane Bérard will be presented at Villa Arson (Nice) and Contemporary Art Center of Meymac (France).
