Katharina Monka born 1986 in Wunstorf, Germany, lives and works in Düsseldorf. She holds a diploma from the Kunstakademie Münster and was resident of the Cité internationale des arts in Paris.

Her work focusses on the link between the body and the exhibition space, specifically the blur between the space, the artistic intervention in it, and the role of the body in this ensemble.

Among her solo exhibitions are o.T., Cité internationale des arts, Paris in 2014, AOv00113, Simultanhalle, Cologne in 2013, and Neodym Heuristik Sirocco, Wewerka Pavillon (with Tim Dannenberg), Münster in 2012. Among others, she participated in the group exhibitions superfekta, Parkhaus im Malkasten, Düsseldorf in 2014, and Times are us, AZKM (Kunsthalle), Münster in 2011.
