Quel travail ?! au centre photographique d’Ile-de-France
Avec _Quel travail ?!_ , le centre photographique d’Ile-de-France propose une exposition forte et d’une intelligence rare. De ces chorégraphies immobiles semble émerger l’importance décisive du geste, de l’acte à l’œuvre comme un miroir de proposition artistique.
Photography was conceived and developed during the industrial movement of the 19th century. A so called mechanical art, photography has helped define our perception of work. Photographers have denounced inhumane work practice just as they have glorified individuals’ bodies in the name of progress.

The film provides an excellent basis for a reflection on the conditions of artwork production in the context of artist residency, to identify its limitations and to question the place of artistic activity within society.
