Tout, est ce que nous avons toujours voulu
Past: February 14 → March 29, 2014
Tout, est ce que nous avons toujours voulu (Everything, is what we’ve always wanted) is a project of variable dimensions, produced by Orange Rouge.
It presents the art created by ten artists working with adolescents in the Ulis1 structures of ten schools in Seine-Saint-Denis, Seine-et-Marne, Paris and Besançon.
A veritable collaborative process between artists and students, Everything, is what we’ve always wanted bears witness to a protocol of experimentation that encourages moving beyond preestablished situations, transgressing traditional hierarchies of knowledge in the educational environment as well as questions of authorship.
In these different contexts, the artists voluntarily integrate more random notions into their practice and use mediums that are easily manipulated, permitting the adolescents to situate themselves in the creative process.
Conceived of for Khiasma, the exhibition is also a space for dialogue, where multiple participants (on-site actors, university researchers and artists) will be invited to exchange ideas in a series of discussions on ideas about art and handicap.
