Iain McKell — The New Gypsies — Book Signing

Fashion and social documentary photographer, Iain McKell has tracked and befriended a ‘small tribe’ of New Gypsies for over ten years. But it is 25 years since he took his first series of photographs of the same tribe, six of which were to remain with him.

Immortal — Vee speers

We all think about our mortality but cannot imagine growing old. Our society is obsessed with freezing time and avoiding the inevitable death and decay as long as possible.
Vee Speers’ latest body of photo-based art, aptly titled Immortal, plays to these age-old sensibilities.

Over the years, many artists have interpreted Star Wars in ways that extend well beyond anything we saw in the films. One of the most unique and intriguing interpretations that I have seen is in the work of Cedric Delsaux, who has cleverly integrated Star Wars characters and vehicles into stark urban, industrial environments.

She utilizes this uncomfortable image as a way to break through to the pop mainstream and participate in a growing national dialogue of the real dangers facing this country and world.
