Turner — Peintures et aquarelles de la Tate

Thanks to exceptional loans from the Tate Britain in London, which houses the largest collection of Turner’s works in the world, the Musée Jacquemart-André will hold an exhibition of sixty watercolours and ten oil paintings, some of which have never been exhibited in France.

Rembrandt intime

Based on the three masterpieces in the Musée Jacquemart-André, the “Pilgrims at Emmaus”, the “Portrait of Princess Amalia van Solms” and the “Portrait of Doctor Arnold Tholinx”, the exhibition comprises around twenty pictures and thirty graphic work thanks to a series of exceptional loans.

L’Atelier en plein air — Les impressionnistes en Normandie

Le Pérugin, maître de Raphaël

De Watteau à Fragonard, les Fêtes galantes — Le temps de l’insouciance

From its invention by Antoine Watteau to Jean-Honoré Fragonard’s brilliant variations, the ‘Fête galante’ genre featured throughout the 18th century. These bucolic, elegant and refined scenes occupy a major place in French painting and the most inventive painters applied themselves to the genre.

Désirs & Volupté à l’époque victorienne

The exhibition invites you to discover the artists famous in England during the reign of Queen Victoria in the 19th century. The very essence of the work of these artists, who made beauty an absolute and an art of living, was to seek the aesthetic. Women were the main subject of this artistic style known as the “Aesthetic Movement”.

Canaletto — Guardi — Les deux maîtres de Venise

Thanks to some generous loans, the Jacquemart-André Museum is now devoting an exhibition to the Veduta for the first time in France, a genre of painting epitomised by Canaletto and Guardi. It is a very under-represented artistic genre in French public and private collections, which makes Canaletto — Guardi, the two masters of Venice a must-see event.

Le crépuscule des pharaons — Chefs-d’œuvre des dernières dynasties égyptiennes

Egypt was invaded on a number of occasions during the thousand years before it was conquered by the Romans and thus opened up to a range of influences. This is the first exhibition to be devoted to the treasures of the last dynasties: over 100 exceptional artefacts demonstrate the breadth and diversity of Egyptian art after the last Ramesses Pharaohs.

Fra Angelico et les maîtres de la lumière

Le Musée Jacquemart-André est le premier musée français à rendre hommage à Fra Angelico et à revisiter la carrière de cet artiste exceptionnel. L’exposition présente près de 25 œuvres majeures du peintre et autant de panneaux réalisés par les peintres prestigieux qui l’ont côtoyé : Lorenzo Monaco, Masolino, Paolo Uccello, Filippo Lippi.

Rubens, Poussin — Et les peintres du XVIIe siècle

This exhibition assembles around sixty paintings from some of the best private and public collections in Europe. It offers a unique view of two great artistic movements of the 17th century: Flemish Baroque painting, of which Rubens is the chief protagonist, and the French Classical school led by Poussin.
