On March 11, 2011, a magnitude 9 earthquake on the North East coast of Japan generated a tsunami of exceptional force. These natural disasters, which caused more than twenty thousand deaths, provoked another tragedy— the Fukushima-Daiichi nuclear accident. After this Hikaru Fujii initiated this ongoing project in May 2019.

“Enacting Populism” tackles the relationships between art practices and the populist mediascape that connotes the current political Zeitgeist of Europe. During the last two months of the presidential elections campaign in France, it develops a historical perspective and a potentiality to re-think the meaning of participation as fundamental for democracy.

Ben Kinmont — Prospectus : Paris

Prospectus is a traveling survey show (in Amsterdam, Paris, New York, San Francisco) in which a selection of works from the past twenty-two years are exhibited and (re)activated. This exhibition will concentrate on the notion of exchange and economy through the presentation of six projects from 1992 to the present.
